Okay I know I will be shot for this one, but today is my BIL Weymond's birthday and I just had to make a card for him. I love you much and wish you another great year. Please don't shoot me for the photos but I have had them for a long, long, long time and not been able to use them and since you needed cheering up, I decided today was THE DAY! Yipee, no more sling

I got to come out of my arm sling....yipee freedom, but sure does make my arm sore. Can't believe it's been 6 weeks! I still cannot lift it on it's own, however, the new exercises hurt like the dickens, that putting behind the back and pulling the arm up with a towel SUCKS big time. But, I do feel a little better with typing now that I can use both hands freely. Makes it easier doing cooking and cleaning too! Just thought I'd drop a note to let y'all know how it's going.
Here's a qp page I downloaded and used "the girls" in. Will have to get back to you the designer...Juliette (I think). Anyhow, since they are my constant companions (MzKitty is helping me now) I take a lot of cute photos of them. Y'all have a great week....chat more next time. Luv, Mat

Forgetting, Not an Option

When I saw this wordart by Miss Linda, I knew I had to make a page using it. I will never forget where I was, what I was doing and how I felt as I watched the second plane hit the second tower. I, like so many others, stayed glued to the TV in total disbelief that anyone could hate our country so much that they could take so many innocent lives in this fashion. To this day, it is still hard to believe. I pray that we NEVER FORGET and always keep our guard up for further and future attacks from these enemies and that God continues to Bless America and all of us.

I so want to thank all of the "sisters who were so generous while I was down from surgery. The prayers, blessings, wishes, get well pages, e-mails, mint juleps, jokes and help with house work, making beds, washing clothes and being my chauffer were all appreciated. I'm Baaaaack!!

Whew!...what a surgery! Here it is a month tomorrow since my shoulder had 4 anchors and some "chains" screwed into it and I am finally able to type somewhat. It has been a painful process, but am doing better daily. I am still in a sling (limiting mobility of the use of the right arm) for another 2 weeks before the INTENSE therapy starts. I feel like it has already been the 4 months of imposed immobility...LOL! I finally attempted driving using the one arm this week when I drove to therapy myself...scary, but successful! Anyhow, I am receiving great care and assistance from friends and loved ones, especially the constant companionship of "the girls"!

Just wanted all to know I am still around, healing and improving daily. I thank all of you for your visits here, the encouraging words, prayers, love and hugs left each day, the healing juleps left for me and the ones Thelma drank to help me, the kind cards, pages and e-mails from all my "sisters" that have helped me immensely! I love all of you!

I have been working on these pages for over a week, kind of SLOOOOOW using my left hand to operate the mouse, etc. They may not be exactly what I wanted, but I just had to do something with Angelscrappers new Fall Splendor kit. This has taken all morning to do this post and I hope you enjoy the pages.
